Bed bugs attack Florida…Why?

Lately you have seen all over the news that Florida is being inundated with bed bug stories. So why Florida? Why now? And if you think you have them, then how do you get rid of bed bugs?

The answer is simple. Bed bugs have been here for years. Its just that over the past 5 years we here in Florida have seen a steady increase. Some people blame the ban of DDT, as others say that the bed bugs were becoming immune to the chemicals. One thing is for certain and that is the bed bug epidemic is here to stay for years to come. And it will only get worse as the years go on.

So why Florida? As more and more people travel, especially from over seas, these little blood suckers are flying over with them and landing in our hotels hospitals, theaters, and now even our kids schools. Bed bugs are hitch hikers which can and will take a ride home. In doing so causing a possible infestation to occur with in the privacy of your homes.
